Please Note: The Taos Salon, Inner Passage and Workshops are offered as an optional experience. Renting our guest houses does not obligate you to participate in these services. Conversely, you may participate in a Salon, Passage or Workshop if you have made other arrangements for your lodging.

WORKSHOPS:

Casa de los Pasajeros is a wonderful setting for workshops, classes, seminars, and “base-camp” during cultural events. Offered by your hosts, or arranged with prominent local artists, these experiences are perfect for those who thrive on educational travel, multicultural awareness, participatory expeditions, and learning as a way of life. You only have to contact us to request a workshop to broaden your experiences and knowledge. Our workshops are from three to six days in length, and of course are relative to New Mexico and Southwest arts, history, literature, cultural legacies, ethnic traditions, and present day New Mexico. Multi-Cultural Studies in Taos: Two six-day seminars based upon the principle of co-creative learning and comprised of mini workshops and classes. For eighteen years these courses have attracted nearly 3000 educators (K-12) from over 20 states. Teachers of all content areas and administrators have attended the seminars to earn extended studies graduate credits for professional growth and development. The focus of the seminars is to enrich the lives of educators with a true learning vacation and to convey the critical need to preserve cultural legacies and traditions. Each day, our classrooms are “in the field” for experiential learning at Indian Pueblos, Spanish Haciendas, museums, galleries, artist studios, private homes, and places undiscovered by most tourists. It truly is a rare week full of force, fascination and fun! Many have attended who are not educators who thrive on cultural expeditions, the arts, history, and literature of the Southwest. Educators may choose from two courses offered almost weekly from early June to late September every year. Casa de los Pasajeros can lodge up to 10 persons per week for Studies in Taos. The Taos Salon and Inner Passages: Discriminating travelers are discovering this unique way to experience Taos, rather than simply visiting Taos for a trite walk around the plaza or Taos Pueblo. The Salon and one full day of Inner Passages are offered as a guest amenity to those who lodge at Casa de los Pasajeros. Those lodging elsewhere are, however, more than pleased to pay a group rate of $400.00 per day. Passages are also offered into Santa Fe, Pueblos along the Rio Grande, and small New Mexican villages where you experience other-worldly time. No matter where you lodge in Taos, you should learn of this multicultural experience! Passages are available year-round whether it be a weekend getaway, or a week long vacation. Workshop Costs:  Workshop, classes, Inner Passages costs vary according to the number of days, the size of group, and instructor fees. Those who attend a workshop and lodge at Casa de los Pasajeros realize a savings in lodging. Arrangements for a workshop begins with email and telephone conversation. Many workshops are available year-round.

All rates for lodging, workshops, classes, seminars, and Inner Passages are determined by the number of participants. Individual cost decrease as numbers increase. Bring others!
